Spring Awakening

Spring brings an awakening I'm never quite prepared for.

Like the feeling of waking up from a nap before you're ready.

The harsh sun coupled with cool air, left over from winter.

Met with bitterness and resentment from yours truly :)

It is a combination, year after year, I am never particularly fond of.

Today, however, I felt such joy to be in Spring. In full bloom.

Not because of the transition it provides. Winter to Summer. Not as a means to an end.

But to fully be in it. We are here now. Waking up!

Warm sunshine high in the sky, flowers everywhere, birds chirping, temperate air, light breeze, with a rainy afternoon that gives life to all that is becoming.
